RefAid BaltHUB is a 20-month regional initiative (December 2025 – June 2027) supporting vulnerable Ukrainian refugees in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. The project is led by the Estonian Network of People Living with HIV (EHPV) and implemented in partnership with Demetra (Lithuania) and AGIHAS (Latvia), within the BaltHUB regional network .
RefAid BaltHUB project combines a multilingual AI-powered chatbot and an upgraded BaltHUB digital platform with peer-led community support services, and capacity building. The project focuses especially on people living with HIV (PLHIV), LGBTQ+ individuals, women with children, and other key affected groups among Ukrainian refugees in host countries.
RefAid BaltHUB project will provide:
- Access to reliable, multilingual information and referral pathways for beneficiaries
- Peer counselling and psychosocial support
- Legal guidance and integration support
- Voluntary return and reintegration assistance, including travel and temporary housing
- Capacity-building for service providers and strengthened regional coordination
At least 500 Ukrainian refugees will benefit directly, with thousands more reached through digital tools. The project promotes stigma-free, inclusive, and HIV-sensitive services, strengthening migration management and refugee support systems across the Baltic region.
