From April 1 the EHPV (Estonia), Demetra (Lithuania), and AGIHAS (Latvia) centers will begin providing services for refugees from Ukraine as part of the RefAid BaltHUB project.
Service recipients:
Women with children, LGBTQ+ people, and people living with HIV, or other vulnerable communities can receive assistance here.
List of services:
Consultation services through Digital AI Platform and Chatbot:
- providing informational support;
- info on HIV and related services;
- Referrals to member organisations and services;
- mapping of in country available services for refugees;
- Basic information support on services provided to refugees and migrants (detailed description below).
Peer-led support programmes in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania:
- Providing free psychosocial support to adult war refugees from Ukraine;
- Information and social counseling;
- Legal counselling;
- Assistance in obtaining social and medical services;
- Assistance with administrative issues, obtaining documents, registering a place of residence, registering on government portals, assistance with job searches and document processing;
- Prevention and testing for HIV and hepatitis C for Ukrainian war refugees who are not living with HIV, or do not know their status;
- Support groups to adult war refugees from Ukraine;
- Emergency assistance for urgent needs.
Support for voluntary return and sustainable reintegration in Ukraine
- Targeted return counsellings;
- Assistance with relocation and accommodation: finding the optimal route for relocation logistical support;
- Documentation and translation support;
- Support during the reintegration period: assistance in finding housing, temporary housing for vulnerable families;
- Reintegration logistics;
- Small-scale emergency reintegration aid.
