RefAid BaltHUB Project Officially Launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of RefAid BaltHUB: Digital and Peer-Led Support for the Integration and Reintegration of Ukrainian Refugees in the Baltic States.

The 20-month regional initiative (December 2025 – July 2027) supports vulnerable Ukrainian refugees in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. The project is led by the Estonian Network of People Living with HIV (EHPV) in partnership with Demetra (Lithuania) and AGIHAS (Latvia), within the BaltHUB regional network.

RefAid BaltHUB strengthens inclusive refugee support systems with a special focus on people living with HIV (PLHIV), LGBTQ+ individuals, women with children, and other key affected communities in host countries.

The project combines digital innovation and peer-led community support, including:

  • Peer counselling and psychosocial support
  • Legal guidance and referral pathways
  • A multilingual AI-powered chatbot and upgraded BaltHUB platform
  • Voluntary return and reintegration assistance
  • Capacity-building activities for service providers
  • Strengthened regional coordination across the Baltic States

At least 500 Ukrainian refugees will receive direct support, while thousands more will access reliable, multilingual information through digital tools and refferals.

By combining technology with trusted community-based approaches, RefAid BaltHUB ensures accessible, stigma-free, and inclusive support services across the region.

The project is implemented with financial support from the Swiss contribution under the Rapid Response Fund
