Not sure where to turn? Meet TWIIN at BaltHUB

After moving to a new country, even an everyday question can be difficult to navigate. How do you find a doctor? Where can you get psychological support in Ukrainian? Who can help with documents? And where do you start if you do not yet know which organisation to contact?

Through RefAid BaltHUB, Ukrainians in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can use TWIIN, an AI-powered digital assistant. In the chat, you will meet Lachin, who can help you understand information and identify a possible next step.

Start with your situation

You do not need special commands or previous experience with AI to talk to Lachin. Describe what you need in your own words and mention the country or city where you are looking for help.

For example:

  • “I’m in Estonia. How can I find out where to get medical help?”
  • “I’m looking for psychological support in Ukrainian in Latvia. Where should I start?”
  • “I’ve moved to Lithuania and don’t know who to contact about my documents.”

If an explanation feels complicated, you can ask: “Could you explain that more simply?” or “Help me prepare a question for a professional.” You do not need to explain everything in one message — you can add details as the conversation develops.

From a question to a useful contact

Lachin can help you make sense of information, put your request into words and understand what kind of support to look for next.

When you need a specific organisation, use the BaltHUB contact and service catalogue. It helps you search for healthcare and social services, psychological support, legal assistance and other organisations by country, city or type of support.

You can open the Lachin chat on the RefAid TWIIN website. The Telegram bot @TwiinBaltHubBot also provides access to contact and service search.

A few things to keep in mind

Lachin is a digital assistant, and his answers may contain mistakes. He does not replace a doctor, lawyer, psychologist or emergency services. Check important information with the relevant organisation or a qualified professional.

A general description is enough for your first question. Do not share passwords, banking details or copies of identity documents.

Try starting with this:

“I’m currently in [country / city]. I need help with […]. Where should I start?”
