Meet Lachin. Start with your question.

Need help but not sure who to turn to? Sometimes the hardest part is not finding a contact — it is figuring out what kind of support you need. Moving to another country can make that even harder.

Meet Lachin, an AI-powered digital assistant in TWIIN. Through RefAid BaltHUB, he helps Ukrainians in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania make sense of their situation and explore a possible next step.

Use your own words

You do not need experience with AI, the name of an organisation or a carefully written prompt. Just describe what you need help with. You can type a message or ask your question by voice — whichever feels easier.

For example:

– “I’m in Tallinn and don’t know where to start looking for a family doctor.”

– “I’m looking for psychological support in Ukrainian. Where should I start?”

– “I need help with documents in Latvia. Who could I ask?”

– “How can I find an organisation that supports Ukrainians in my city in Lithuania?”

These are conversation starters, not a required format. Your question can be brief, unfinished or completely different.

How Lachin can help

His role is to help you find a starting point: explain things in simpler terms, help you clarify your question and suggest a possible direction.

When you need a specific contact, you can use the BaltHUB directory of services and organisations. The chat and the directory complement each other: first, work out what kind of help you need; then, look for somewhere to turn.

Lachin is a first step. He does not replace a doctor, lawyer, psychologist or emergency services, and he does not make decisions for you.

Start a conversation

Open TWIIN on the BaltHUB website and speak to Lachin by voice or text. If you are not sure what to say, try:

> “I’m currently in [country / city]. I need help with […]. Where should I start?”

You do not have to explain everything at once. Start with what matters to you right now.
