Aksept offers a range of courses for people living with HIV. The courses are linked to Aksept’s vision that everyone should be able to live a good life with HIV in their close relationships and society. Many of the courses are provided in a language adapted to the participants’ language.

You can learn the local language for free through our offline service. We offer practical, in-person language classes to help you communicate effectively in your new environment and better integrate into the community.

Organization and distribution of social benefits to support those in difficult life situations.

People living with HIV have specific rights and obligations. In Norway, all types of HIV treatment are free and do not require patient co-payment, in accordance with the Infectious Disease Control Act and related regulations. In some cases, you may also be eligible for reimbursement of certain dental expenses.

We assist disadvantaged individuals in the housing market to find and retain housing. We offer various services in different parts of the country. In Oslo, we manage about 70 permanent housing units for people struggling with substance abuse, mental illness, and isolation.

Many are temporarily homeless and need emergency accommodation. We run overnight services in several cities for itinerant homeless individuals and others needing temporary shelter on their way to permanent housing.

We offer customized work environments with a wide variety of tasks. Through day labor or various workshops and production sites, employees can enhance their skills, feel a sense of belonging in the workforce, and improve their language abilities.

We work with NAV and local municipalities to provide targeted job training, helping employees transition into regular paid employment.

We provide comprehensive healthcare services tailored to the unique needs of HIV-positive refugees. We offers regular medical check-ups, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing monitoring to ensure your well-being

Everyone in Norway living with HIV has the right to free treatment. You can obtain it from doctors at the nearest hospital with an infectious disease department.

The short stays are a great combination of chats and physical and social activities. The stays are around three days. Travel and accommodation are free. Get in touch for more information and how to apply on tel. +47 94 02 06 01.

We have set up special user groups that meet regularly. These include our MSM group, Male Migrant group, and Mothers and Children group. Participants share their experiences in the groups and help each other with real-life problems.

Since 2011, Aksept has been providing services specially for children and young people living with HIV. We are in touch with children and their parents, and organise get-togethers for this group. For older children, we organise an annual autumn get-together over four days. All of these events are for people from all over the country. We pay for travel, accommodation and food. For young adults up to the age of 30 who live in and around Oslo, we have regular social get-togethers every other month. We eat together and do a range of activities.
